There seems to be a great deal of interest in UFOs in the film industry these days. Not just the film industry, but the public wants to see movies about aliens and alien space craft. When riding in the subway today, here in Berlin, I was watching the in-train tv monitor which said that the number one film in America was “District 9″. I had never heard of the film before but I got myself wise right away. I was glad to see the film was made by a young man on a much smaller budget than most Hollywood films, and knocked it’s competitors out of the box. Since motion pictures were invented, film makers have been making films about space travel and men from Mars, and maybe, they are us, the men from Mars I mean. Some of the biggest block busters in film history have concerned themselves with aliens and space travel. From films like “From the Earth to the Moon” or “The Day The Earth Stood Still”, my personal favourite, film makers have expanded our imaginations to heights most people have never been able to imagine. I was corresponding with a well known writer a couple of weeks ago to thank him for a book he wrote. Since he knew I live in Berlin, he wrote back that I should watch out for those nazi UFOs. I wrote him back and said that all the nazi UFO bases moved to the Antarctic. He then sent me a link to a film in progress called “Ironsky”. I checked out the site: www.ironsky.net/site/ . I was really impressed with what innovative filmakers can do on a low budget. It shows me that the collective unconcious is at work. It’s interesting how both of these films deal with fascist control. One with corporate fascism, and the other with ideological fascism. I guess they are one in the same. But most people I’ve met have never seen a UFO or, if they have, they didn’t consider it as something out of the ordinary. They think they are stuff films are made of. If the media tells people that reality is what they tell them it is, most people will believe it. Thankfully, the information being presented to humanity is comming faster, and from many more sources, than any time in history. The internet, the modern library of Alexandria, is at our fingertips. That’s why it’s discredited. But as in the days of Alexandria, there are those who manipulate things with their monetary power. They are those who would burn down the internet library of Alexandria in order to keep us ignorant of our true history and our possible future. Knowledge is meant for all humans be they in Africa or Manhattan. Humans are bound for the stars. The importance of sending humans to places like the Moon and Mars instead of robots, is that humans have an inate curiosity and a divine spark that no machine or cloned being can have. What we have is a soul. A soul is what holds this miraculous mass of molecules we call a body together. That’s why I love film. Film is a medium that projects our soul onto the big screen to replay our deepest hopes and fears, right before our eyes and ears. Discerning the truth is our job.

Hammer, Hey I’m a German also. I’m curious to hear your reasons for believing we have a Soul. Please enlighten me?
JR
I have heard a lot about this movie and am really curious to see it.
Great post hammer :-)
This is to you Unkeljack,
as with many americans, my family came from Germany in 1770. They didn’t fight the americans though, they fought the british. They were fleeing the mercenary soldier slavery from the state from which they came, in other words Hessians. I was brought up a mormon so that sort of makes me a knowledgable geneologist. Excuse me while I put out my cigarette. But you wanted me to tell you why I believe we have a soul. I’m presuming that’s a rhetorical question. Outside of my own personal experiences with life after death, I would think that anyone who gives the question five minutes thought would already know the answer. But, if you want my opinion, to something I can’t comprehend, I’ll tell you. It starts off with the reality of our situation. Have you ever held in your arms, the body of a dead person, who a few hours, or days earlier, were alive and communicative? That’s all you need to do. But if you haven’t had that experience, what do you see when you see a growing tree? What do you see when that tree is cut down and sawed into boards? Every living thing has a soul. It is part of the intelligence that created the material us. The intelligence, or eternal God, that created us in material form, is eternal which has no beginning and has no end. It is useless for us to try and conceive of God. Who do you think created all of this that we call reality? I can assure you it wasn’t Madison Avenue. Extant from my own experience, everyone has held in his or her hands a dying bird, or small animal. You know when the life force has left the body. If one needs more proof than that, they should go to Cal Berkeley.

Hammer - your last comment was a great way to start the day, for me.
Hi folks. I just wanted to say that I looked at the trailer for the film "Iron Sky" again and I just hope this film finally gets released. Just by chance, which I don’t believe in, I came accross this film, which I had never heard of until a writer, who also writes film scripts, wrote and told me about it. But when I saw the film trailer, and saw the production values, which I find similar to "Eraserhead", combined with a provocative story line, I just had to share this film with viewers of this site. Check out the trailer and all the links to this film on their website www.ironsky.net/site/ and check it out for yourself. If it looks interesting to you, tell your friends about it. It’s good to have a bit of humour in what some people would consider as the "last days" in which we are living.
