After watching a video of a “craft” over Salt Lake City that got city residents scratching their heads, thinking it was a UFO, I had to comment. After seeing the video it was clear to me it was not a UFO. It was a derigible, or zeppelin. It’s a form of craft that’s been under development for decades and is still being developed. A derigible is a ridgid, lighter than air craft, which looks like what was flying over Salt Lake City. In Germany, they are developing semi-ridgid lighter than air craft that are not as big as the old derigibles. Obviously, the technology of lighter than air craft is advancing. There are many applications available for these machines. But these craft that we see in our skies are not UFOs. It’s just that the media is not telling us what they are. Either they don’t know or they’re not allowed to talk about it. I suggest it’s a bit of both. The typical “cigar shaped” UFO is able to speed off in a second. These derigibles just sort of “hang” there. It’s not to say these ships are not highly advanced, they’ve come a long way over the decades, but they are not “high tech”. If people don’t recognize a derigible when they see one, how will they respond to real “high tech”?
One of the most famous UFO sitings of all time (Due to the great Photograph) was the McMinnville Oregon sighting in may 1950. The photograph was taken from Paul and Evelyn Trents back yard on May 11th but the story broke only a month later because they were waiting to finish the roll of film that they had taken the photograph on. Apparently Evelyn Trent was feeding rabbits on the family farm, when she spotted the metallic object in the sky. She hollered for her husband who grabbed the camera and came running. Excerpt from Nick Redferns Men in Black lecture. For me, no less interesting part of the UFO phenomena are the men in blck. I know very little about them, but Nick Redfern with his wealth of infomation has certainly tickled my curiosity.
While he was talking - two thoughts crossed my mind - the first was that men in black were, as he said, government agents trying to hush up the witnesses (for reasons I cannot understand) and the second is that men in black could maybe be aliens who are disguised as people …. this sounds completely insane, and as I write it, it seems less and less probable - why would they do that?
As part of my daily ritual, I turn on my laptop, and peruse the news. Today I found an interesting article in the german newspaper der “Tagesspiegel”, which, translated into english, means the “daily mirror”. Anyway, the article was about an idea put forth by Peter Hintze, who is the coordinator for the german aeronautical and space administration. He has requested an additional 350 million euros, to be spread out over five years, to send a mission to intensively chart the moon. His opinion is that this project would bolster the german economy, as well as others in the European Union, and also strengthen ties between the United States and Europe. It would also send a signal to the technical and engineering professions that there is hope for the future. For one thing, the exploration of space has always been of great interest to me. When people say that we shouldn’t be spendng money on space exploration I ask them if they think Queen Isabella of Spain shouldn’t have financed Columbus? The other thing is that 350 million euros are peanuts compared to what is being spent to start and continue wars around the world. If all the countries of the Earth would spend what they’re spending now on the destruction of this planet, and diverted that to the exploration of space, we could be living on Mars right now. It’s just a matter of priority shifting. Those who now make money out of war, killing living beings, destroying civilizations, and making life on this planet a living hell for untold millions, could just as well use their wealth and creativity for the exploration of space and the colonization of our neighbouring planets. That would supply their greed and need to play God. I applaud Peter Hintze for his “unusual” idea to revive the german, as well as the world’s economy, by turning to the moon and ultimately the stars, the symbol of hope, for a solution to the world’s problems. The possibilities are endless.
